Hello! We are starting a local association which will connect and support the fine art printmaking community in the Greater Milwaukee area. Our goal is to establish a member directory and online newsletter which will offer equipment buy/sell/trade/gift, techniques, supplies, employment, exhibitions, grants, interviews, articles, and a yearly members exhibit. Plus (my favorite) an annual summer Bar-B-Q blowout.
Membership is free to everyone – from student to lifelong printer – we want to build up our local printmakers by helping them connect. All the various printmaking disciplines will be represented: relief, intaglio, litho, screen, mono, and all the hybrids. Printmakers are good people and know how to collaborate.
The MILWAUKEE PRINTMAKERS ALLIANCE is a volunteer team including Madison Dawne Tebo, Julia Scheckel, Hunter Louis, and Greg Martens. We are all active printmakers in Milwaukee from the UWM program.
BENEFIT PRINT SALE! “Ink Hunter” by Greg Martens, 2022, 3-color screen print on 280gsm BFK Rives cream (with a few on tan, let me know your preference) Paper size: 15 x 22, Image size: 11 x 16, Edition: 15 + 3 A/P, signed and numbered in pencil, printed by the artist, published by Hip Joint Press, certificate included. All proceeds will fund the Milwaukee Printmakers Alliance start-up. You can help us fund the website build so we can get started.
Price $100 each, Paypal is preferred (click button below). I will roll it up, put it in a tube, and ship it Priority Mail, or deliver it if possible. First-come first-served, many are already spoken-for, and the rest will go fast.
